How to Delete Apps from iPad and iPhone via App Store

Updating and installing apps is just a basic thing in a smartphone. There are millions of apps available in the App Store, but every app is not relevant to everyone. People install those which they find easier to learn and understand. However, sometimes while updating apps, users realize that they don’t want some particular apps that are mistakenly installed. With iPhone and iPad users, this type of situation takes place a lot of time because of the size of the apps.

Updating an app on iOS and iPadOS devices is pretty simple. Even after getting a lot of major updates and UI improvements, the app updating procedure is still the same, which is really admirable. However, the Apple developers have changed the app update location and it is slightly frustrating for some users. With the newly updated location, iOS and iPadOS have received an ability where users can delete or remove the installed apps. Well, it slightly lowers the frustration because uninstalling apps individually has always been a big problem. So if anyone doesn’t want to update some apps and is willing to remove some installed apps quickly, they should utilize the new simple way to delete apps from their device.

How to Quickly Delete/Remove Apps from iPad and iPhone

To utilize the new updating apps section, users must keep their device’s OS up to date.

  • Launch the App Store and iPad or iPhone.
  • Click on the Account’s Profile Picture.
  • A list of apps will appear to update.
  • Swipe left on the following apps individually to delete them.
  • Click on the appeared Delete option in the red box to remove the app from the device.
  • Press Delete once to confirm the process.
  • Follow the same procedure with all those apps that should be removed, or click on update to start the update process.

By following the above-mentioned steps, users can remove any installed app in a few seconds. If there are tons of apps installed in an iPad or iPhone device, swipe left procedure will be highly useful.

The update tab also shows those apps that are not in use for a long time but installed in the device. So it also becomes easier for the users to find those apps which are not in use but installed. Deleting unused apps can also be removed by the same procedure in both iPad and iPhone.

The swipe and delete feature works in several ways like removing messages, removing emails, and many more similar things, but a lot of iPhone users are not aware of it. Unfortunately, the device doesn’t indicate to the user how to remove apps quickly, but it is still a part of both iPadOS and iOS.

Conclusion

Finding, downloading, and installing apps on iPad and iPhone don’t take much time if the internet connection is fast. Apps and Games in the App Store are separated in different categories which include a Top apps and games section too. If any user is looking to remove any particular app, they can also use the old tap and hold method to delete the app from the device.

How to Save Battery Life of Your Iphone 12 While Using 5G?

Apple has recently launched its iPhone 12 lineup, which offers 5G compatibility. Being on a 5G network, you will get faster speeds to over 20GB per second, and there’s no doubt, it will be draining your battery by up to 20% faster. To prevent your device’s battery from draining quickly, we have come up with certain methods that you can apply on your iPhone 12, or any other device in the lineup.

Optimize 5G to Improve Battery Life on iPhone 12

Apple offers various methods with which you can optimize your device’s battery and get better control on its consumption. To obtain an appropriate balance between battery life and network speed, we recommend you to opt for 5G, only when you are playing high-octane games, streaming HD videos, or conferencing through an HQ Face-Time video connection.

If it isn’t required, and the device is carrying out only some basic tasks, it is recommended that you put the network to 4G in order to minimize the battery consumption. If you think, your 4G network is efficient enough to handle all the tasks; then you can completely disable the 5G networks on your device and make 4G, your default network. You may follow the below-mentioned steps for the same:

1.      Go to the Settings app on your device of the iPhone 12 lineup.

2.      Click on the Mobile/Cellular option.

3.      Go to the Mobile/Cellular Data options.

4.      Then click on the Voice & Data.

5.      Three options will appear in front of you:

6.      If you select the “5G Auto” option, your iPhone will be able to switch to LTE automatically if there is no need for a 5G network on it. This sort of smart switching can reduce the unnecessary battery on your device. The devices operating in the areas that have a strong 5G connectivity are recommended to apply these settings. This option will switch from 5G to a 4G connection whenever your device is doing only basic tasks and from LTE to 5G when your device needs high speeds.

7.      If you go for the “5G On” option, your device will remain connected to a 5G network. This will, in turn, affect your device’s battery.

8.      In the case of “LTE,” your device will continue to work on the LTE network, even when 5G networks are available. You can go for this option if you don’t want to compromise your device’s battery health.

Conclusion

So, this was all about how you can manage your iOS device’s battery through 5G network management. Apple has done a great job of providing these options to prevent battery drainage on the iPhone 12 lineup, and now it all depends on the users, how they want to tackle their device’s battery. We, however, recommend you to go for the 5G Auto mode, which switches from 5G to 4G and vice versa according to the device’s requirements.

How to Delete Multiple Contacts at Once on iPad and iPhone?

Just like other brands, Apple doesn’t provide any straightforward process to delete multiple contacts at once. Still, if you are searching for an efficient procedure to remove certain contacts from the contacts list, then this blog is for you. Here is how you can delete multiple contacts at once on your iOS device.

Procedure to Delete Multiple Contacts at the Same Time using iCloud

iCloud is the best cloud computing and data storage platform. If you use iCloud, then all your contacts must be synced across all your devices. If you want to make changes to your contacts list, all the modifications will automatically reflect your synced devices. To do so, you need to use the web edition of iCloud on your Mac.

Follow these instructions to delete several contacts at a time via iCloud:

  • At the start, visit the web page of iCloud via the link that is iCloud.com.
  • Then, sign in to the account via Apple ID and Passcode.
  • After that, choose the Contacts option by navigating the iCloud main page.
  • Next, select and highlight the contact you desire to remove by tapping the Control key on the Mac.
  • Now, scroll down the page and then choose other contacts to remove.
  • Hit the gear-shaped icon from the lower left of your screen.
  • Then, hit the Delete tab.
  • If it asks for confirmation, press the Delete tab again.
  • The selected contacts have been successfully deleted from all the synced devices. In case you find the solution is slightly complicated for you, try a third-party iOS app to delete your desired contacts in one go.

Procedure to Delete Multiple Contacts via Groups

You can easily use the third party app “Groups” that provides advanced features via in-app purchases.

Here is how to delete contacts with the Groups app:

  • First of all, you have to download the Groups app directly on your smartphone.
  • Then, open the app.
  • Allow the app to access all your contacts when it asks to do so via prompt box.
  • Choose the option “All Contacts” from the provided listing.
  • Go through the contacts listing and then mark the contacts you desire to remove by hitting the circled-shaped icon located towards their name’s left-hand side.
  • Hit the option “Choose Action” from the uppermost section.
  • Then, press the option “Delete Contacts…” on the prompt box.
  • Now, hit the “Remove from my iPhone!” option to verify your decision.
  • Congrats! Now, you can go to the built-in Contacts app on your device and make sure that your selected contacts are properly deleted. The deleted contacts will no longer be available on your synced devices, including Mac and iPad.

Apple still hasn’t offered any straightforward process to remove more than one contact at a time, but you have the alternative to remove them in clusters. You can use iCloud and third-party apps to remove the desired contacts across all your devices.

iOS 14: How To Enable iPhone Sound Recognition Alerts

Apple has made iOS 14 available for its users. Users can now get alerts about certain sounds in their surroundings on their Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Before making iOS 14 available to the users, Apple added some great features to improve their devices’ accessibility. Sound Recognition is one of the recent accessibility options provided by the company. Apple confirmed that the Sound Recognition feature uses “on-device intelligence” to listen for the noises in a surrounding and alert users who might be unaware of these sounds. It appears as an “on-screen” notification that provides the details about the detected sound. Although this feature has been developed for the users who have hearing-problem, many other users can also take advantage of this feature that may want to know the details regarding certain noises in their surroundings.

Should you enable Sound Recognition

Sound Recognition plays an important role by listening to the user’s surroundings for essential sounds that the user may not have heard. It is an entirely customizable setting. The Sound Recognition feature plays a vital role in alerting the user to a few sounds. So, even if you are not suffering from hearing-issue, it is still worth enabling this feature. This feature is also very beneficial for users who do not focus on a few noises in their surroundings because of their hectic schedules. This notification distracts their mind for a few seconds to provide the details regarding certain environmental noises.

To enable the feature of Sound Recognition, you need to open your settings app. Then you have to go through the accessibility menu. After that, under “Hearing,” you can find an option for Sound Recognition. After enabling this setting, you will choose from a variety of sounds. You can get notifications about alarms, animals, etc. After that, whenever the device detects the selected sounds, it will notify you with a notification, which will appear on-screen. If you want to disable this function, you can do this by visiting the iOS control center.

After discussing the newest feature, “Sound Recognition,” that came with the latest iOS 14, we have concluded that it is an essential feature for users with hearing problems. However, it is equally useful for all other users because they will also get notifications regarding certain sounds in their environment.
