What is It's About Time about

It’s About Time show features lesser-known stories or tales from the past, brought to life in the past. Ancestry has released three episodes already, episodes 4 and 5 made available in the coming weeks. In the first episode, Sir Tony Robinson tells the story of the 17-year old guy Mary Ann Mason, whose murder happened in Victorian Dudley, placed at the heart of industrial Britain in the 1850s.

Mary Ann was shot dead in a pub, and the killer was hanged for his crime. The story behind the murder makes it more incredible. The second episode was from the iconic Charlie Chaplin film The Immigrant. Sir Tony Robinson uses the comedy spoof in the film to bring to life the real troubles of immigrants to America in the early 1900s when Charlie Chaplin made the tour to chase his American dream.

The Pankhurst sisters are the focal point of the third episode of the Ancestry, and it is the story of how a family so closely related to the feminist movement could end up so far apart. Ancestry DNA is Improving The Accuracy of New Ancestors Discoveries

Ancestry introduced Ancestor Discoveries in 2015 that connects Ancestry DNA customers with potential new ancestors that may not be in your Ancestry family tree previously. A new Ancestry Discovery seems if you share a major amount of DNA with multiple members of an Ancestry DNA circle, that means you can also be connected to the ancestor when the DNA circle is built around.

These clues can be great for starting your research and help you connect with other family members you did not know you had. To find new Ancestor Discoveries, we made an algorithm with specific standards that connect people to DNA circles based on their Ancestry DNA matches. This algorithm was made in 2015 when Ancestry launched New Ancestor Discoveries, and with the fast growth of the DNA database, it needs to be updated.

As the Ancestry DNA circles get larger and more DNA matches are delivered, more people connect to the Ancestry DNA circles that result in more New Ancestor Discoveries, but there is a decrease in accuracy. You need to have more connections into Ancestry DNA circles to get a New Ancestor Discovery.

And all these updates will decrease the New Ancestor Discoveries that lead to an increase in Accuracy. Some populations may feel larger decreases. Ancestry is working to monitor and adjust this as necessary to assure meaningful discoveries for our members.

The new update to the Algorithm is currently happening, and you can also see the changes in the coming days. Earlier, you need to match at least two members from a known DNA Circle to be given a New Ancestor Discovery. Now, customers need to match 3 DNA Circle members to be given a New Ancestor Discovery.

For larger DNA Circles (16+ members), Ancestry users need to match 20% of DNA Circle to be given a New Ancestor Discovery.

Ancestry DNA Journey

Think where you come from and what you are made of. Our sense of identity stems from our culture, upbringing, family values, and stories passed down from generation to generation. But how much do you know about who you are and where you come from? Ancestry joined forces with international travel search site, Momondo and put 67 people for the DNA test.

Each one has different values, backgrounds, cultures, and participants were taken on a journey into who they are based on the DNA. What they discovered is that they have more in common with other nationalities than they might have expected, and we all are one global family.

How DNA Works

Your DNA is unique to you, and how it can tell you more about where you come from. Brad Argent, Ancestry DNA expert, explains, we get 50% of our DNA from our father and 50% DNA from our mother. They get 50% from their parents, and it goes back a long way. Those little bits of our ancestors or forefathers drip down through our parents. A genetic DNA test looks at Genealogy elements such as ethnicity estimates that will tell you where your ancestors come from.

How does DNA open the world?

Many of us must have been thinking that we are a part of a specific cultural story. But our DNA reveals that we are part of many stories, explains Brad Argent. Our DNA tells us more about our biological history of who we are.

How Much Space is Required For Security Camera Video Footage

The smart security camera can store and cascade enormously high-resolution video to help you to keep your eyes on what is happening around your home, and the stored videos mean that you can look at that activity whenever you want.

Local storage of a camera comes with a host of benefits, but you will need a MicroSD card. Now the question arises: what size of MicroSD card do you need and how much footage you will store as well. The footage storage can be differing from camera to camera, but you need to consider several things.

Resolution Vs. Time: When you decide how much storage capacity you need, you must consider the resolution and recording length. The lower resolution video takes more inadequate space than the higher resolution video but at the expense of clarity. The most common explanation for the modern security camera is 1080p or 1440p, called 2K or 4K. You can make out more detail in 2K video in 1080p than 4K video in 1440p footage, which depends upon the brands, and you may have the option to store footage at a lower resolution to maintain space into your memory card.

Many security cameras offer options for continuous recording, and you will still get notifications of motions and activities around your home, but it will record each minute of each day. This will need more storage space in comparison to the event recordings.

Frame Rate: Another essential feature is frame rate. That video that takes 30 frames per second (fps) requires less space than those videos that take 60 fps. Not all the cameras will allow you to adjust the fps of recording, so you will receive better footage of a higher frame rate, which may be affected by the lighting conditions. For example, some cameras will shoot 15 fps because of the lower light situation but revert to their default 30 fps when the light conditions are good.

On the other side, when you choose to record high-resolution recording, your storage requirements will be huge, and you need a standard SD card. And at that time, you must select a security camera that offers network-attached storage (NAS) as an option because you will be able to attach an external hard drive.

Codec and Compression: A codec is a type of encoding software that encodes the digital footage into that language in which the computer can read and store. There are a few kinds of codecs, and each store video and audio at a different rate and a different storage size. Examples of codecs are H.264 and HEVC.

Compression is another feature. All videos do not store in their original size. In maximum cases, compression takes less space on a memory card and the hard drive, and the Compression algorithm used by the security camera when you are going to play video in a significant role in how much memory footage is required.

How much space is required by a security camera?

Eufy 2K Pan & Tilt Camera: This one minute of 2K resolution footage takes 40MB space. According to that, around 2.4GB per hour and about 57.6GB per day when you record continuously.

When you need event recording and assume six events per day with two minutes of recording each, then that is only 480MB per day.

Wyze Cam Outdoor: In this one minute of video takes 5MB space. According to that, around 30 minutes of video takes 255MB space and 450MB for an hour and about 10.8GB per day when you record continuously.

What size storage should you buy?

Although you can search in MicroSD card and SD cards up to 1TB in size, a 256GB memory card will be enough for some days worth of footage in most cases. With the highest capacity requirements, a 256GB memory card will store around 4.5 days worth of footage when you record continuously.

A considerable majority of the security cameras use rolling space, which means that the old clip will be erased or replaced when the cards are filled. In many cases, you do not need to erase the footage manually to make space for more. When you want to archive clips, you will want to look into the system that offers you an external hard drive.

They are more affordable when you are looking at the cost per gigabyte rate, making them more cost-efficient when you intend to store all your footage for an extended period. One concern about using the local storage option is that there is the possibility of failure just because everything goes wrong due to tear and wear; hard drives and memory cards are no exception. Some companies offer recovery services that can rescue the footage that would otherwise be lost.

Hearing Amplifiers: Working, Uses, And More

There are several devices, from wireless earbuds to noise-canceling headphones, which include personal sound amplification products or PSAPs to enhance listening to the audio; it does not matter where you are and what you are doing.

They can simulate hearing aids in their look, but hearing aids are generally predefined, which can be used for those who have a significant hearing loss problem. PSAPs are cheap, and they are more accessible to buy because they are designed to recover the hearing loss by enhancing sound.

When you are excited about how PSAPs work or looking for a purchase, you should know what you should know before you purchase.

Who Should Use Hearing Amplifiers or PSAPs?

Hearing amplifiers or PSAPs are constructed for those people, who want to louder sound for their entertainment and they have classified as normal hearing or 20 Db hearing threshold or better in both ears, and that makes hearing amplifiers ideal for those people who are attending the lecture and may be stuck in the back.

When you are experiencing hearing loss and seriously affecting your daily life day by day, you should avoid PSAPs, and you should go to get in to see a doctor about hearing aids.

How PSAPs Work?

Speaker, microphone, amplifier, volume controller, and power source are the main parts of the PSAPs.

The microphone captures the sound and pressure, and then changes them into electrical signal where the electric amplifier circuit enhances the extent and rage of the signal, and after that, the speaker takes the amplified signals and change them into a sound wave.

Volume controllers allow you to manage the amplification, which is applied to the electric signal or sound, and PSAPs battery power keeps the device working. We can adjust the size of PSAPs because PSAPs are universally sizeable and, depending on the model, may require you to download an app to make setting adjustments.

Generally, users can control the volume level of devices to low and high mode amplification options, noise reduction and can set for different listening environments through this app.

How Are Hearing Amplifiers Different From Hearing Aids?

Even though hearing amplifiers and hearing aids are identical, their functions are in different ways; since hearing aids are considered a clinical device, audiologist program and personalize them for each person and their unique hearing loss patterns.

The main thing is that hearing aids are different from hearing amplifiers because the audiologists fit hearing aids, and they are programmed to imitate the biology of the inner ear is a little bit more than a straightforward amplifier.

The signal processing of hearing aids is designed to copy some features lost in the ears with the hearing disorder and the missing sensory cells naturally provided by your ears.

This feature can manage the hearing aids a dynamic range of sound if they are too loud, minimizing the signal’s gain or volume. It is the same as lowering the speaker’s volume when the speaker’s sound level is too loud to prevent distortion. At last, the hearing aids can manage the dynamic range of a signal encoded and converted by the hearing aids.

What Should You Know Before Using A Hearing Amplifier?

Like hearing aids, PSAPs are not meant to be worn for extending the length of time, and they are not designed to adjust anyone’s hearing disorder. They do not focus on extending the various range of sound and alternatively amplifies the sounds in different directions.

Hearing amplifiers are not as complex as hearing aids, and that design is reflected in their more affordable costs. Without the need for any hearing prescription, PSAPs can be purchased over the counter like drugstore glasses.

PSAPs help users control specific elements of their auditory experience by their device’s mobile app which offers them multiple listening modes and filters.

Although that kind of personalized is ideal for many, you should also be careful when using it. When you do consider using PSAPs, then hearing amps do not have directional microphones, which make them allow to high levels of background noise that means crowded places as like a noisy restaurant would not be ideal for hearing amplifiers, but the quiet environment of your living room when watching TV may be ideal.

Gaming Experience Enhanced in ROG Phone 5

ASUS is reaching the epitome of the phone world by producing high-end devices from a gaming standpoint. ASUS launches a new phone that is setting the bars high for other gaming phones to match. ASUS launched three phones in the ROG 5 series: ASUS ROG 5, ASUS ROG 5 PRO, ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate.

The ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate is the latest gaming Android phone that draws the attention of gamers and gadget enthusiasts. The ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate is packed with mind-boggling features suitable for gamers; apart from that, the phone has impressive tech specs.

Control Options

The ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate has various controls that enhance the gameplay and increases the efficiency of controls. It includes standard touch controls and capacitive buttons present on the frame of the phone. Also, have motion control and a physical button on the AeroActive Cooler 5. Moreover, the capacitive buttons can be configured to trigger actions in the game. Generally, gamers require these many options.

ASUS claims to provide 18 control options in the ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate, which is by far the most control option in any smart gaming phone. To activate and calibrate the control options, the user needs to access the Asus Armoury Crate app. The Asus Armoury Crate app is preinstalled in the ROG 5 PRO. To configure the app, it needs a swipe from the phone’s left edge while in the game. The swipe from the left edge turns on the game genie.

Need for Advanced Control Options in Gaming

One of the main reasons we need different control options is the lack of quality touchscreen controls. The touchscreen control gets the job done but does not exceed it and does not help enhance the gaming experience. The quality, crispness, and accuracy required by the user while gaming is not satisfied by touchscreen controls. The reason being the ability to sense and process multi-touch inputs while gaming.

The poor touchscreen controls are tolerable in basic games, but in the present scenario, everyone is going mad for games like PUB-G, Call of Duty: Mobile, LifeAfter, etc., which require high-end multi-touch sensors. However, controller-based controllers enhance the gaming experience but are available in some games.

Here is when ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate is on point, providing 18 different controller options customized according to one’s gaming pattern and finger reach. ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate offers triggerable options which have a direct impact on the onscreen gameplay.

ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate can be a better option for people that prefer to play tactical games. The tactical gameplay has several controls and to toggle to every control requires the lifting up of finger and then pressing upon the trigger of the desired action. ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate has options to customize the trigger buttons and even placing them on your comfortable side, which is not possible in any other phone.

To save time while lifting a finger and then pressing upon the desired button, you can set the left bumper of the phone to aim and the right bumper to fire. This customization saves your time while seeking and engaging the target. Also, you can move while aiming and firing, and you do not need to lift your finger off the screen.

This is an example of one of the possible customizations; ASUS ROG 5 Ultimate has several controller mods to offer and increase the gaming experience and puts you in the top spot in every game.

Conclusion

The gaming phone always has the edge over the non-gaming phone regarding the phone’s aesthetics, sound quality, display, multiple controller options, battery backup, etc. The gaming phone is designed solely for gaming, and therefore, a user gets a better gaming experience in a gaming phone.

For example, ASUS ROG 5 ultimate is purely a gaming phone. The significant specifications that set ROG 5 apart from other non-gaming phones are Pressure sensitive zones (Gaming triggers), Touch sensor, AMOLED display 800 nits (typical) and 1200 nits (peak), Corning Gorilla Glass Victus (for screen protection), Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 (5 nm chipset), Adreno 660 Graphics Processing Unit, Li-Po 6000 mAh battery with fast charging feature.
